The stainless steel dasher rod features a threaded top end for secure attachment to the mixer spindle and a circular dasher disc head with mixing ports at the base — engineered to achieve thorough, void-free blending through the combined stroke-and-rotate action of the Model 388 mixer.

Complete mixing is achieved by stroking the rotating dasher rod from one end of the filled cartridge to the other. Rod stroking is accomplished through a reversing air cylinder. Rotation of the dasher rod is accomplished by using a low-speed, high-torque gear motor. The timer automatically shuts off the mixer when the pre-set mix cycle has been completed.
